چکیده
This paper provides an overview of several of the conceptual issues related to the current assessment by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) of recipient experience in the maintenance of project assets, with particular focus on problems of recurrent cost financing. These issues are primarily generic in character, and may be applicable in most, if not all, AusAID project circumstances. The countryspecific references provided in this paper are intended to be illustrative, rather than seeking to highlight the extent of certain problems and issues in any specific countries.
